Juniper has been used since time immemorial as a ritual incense thanks to its purifying properties for the body and mind.
It soothes people who have negative feelings or thoughts, who dwell on anger for example.
Juniper has calming properties. It is used to purify sleeping areas (it promotes sleep) and to remember dreams.
It also facilitates meditation and states of deep consciousness. Rocky Mountain juniper is a very strong variety. Its characteristic coniferous scent is slightly musky. It often grows at high altitudes in the arid environments of the American West.
Tips and Uses:
Discover our passive diffusers, magnificent ATA creations by Line Gros-Louis, a Wendake artisan. These are porous ceramic pellets or necklaces that hold the oils and diffuse them naturally. Ideal for a bedside table, a small room, a desk, etc.
Another way to diffuse air in your home is with the suitable electric diffusers available on the market.

Precautions:
Juniper EO can be irritating when pure and should be used diluted.
For all essential oils:
– They are generally not recommended for sensitive people, epileptics, asthmatics, pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 6 years old and animals.
– Essential oils are used in small quantities or with caution and for short periods.
– For diffusions: Diffusers are often water-based, be moderate in the use of essential oils and favor short diffusion times.
Never heat the essential oil you are using, otherwise its molecular structure will be altered.
– For application to the skin: 24 hours before first use, carry out a skin test with one drop in the crease of the elbow to check for a possible allergy.
Oils are not miscible with water—always use an oil base for topical application, especially if you have sensitive skin. For example, vegetable oil can be applied to the skin (avoid mucous membranes, which are more sensitive), in shower gel or shampoo for bathing, in honey for herbal teas, in vegetable oils for day creams, etc.
– Keep out of reach of children and animals, ideally in a cool, dark place.
– Wash your hands before and after using essential oil.
– In case of accidental ingestion of essential oil, ingest vegetable oils (e.g., olive oil, coconut oil) and consult if necessary. For a large dose: seek emergency medical advice or contact a poison control center.
– Essential oils are sometimes used in cooking; check their application conditions with people who specialize in the field.
– Some oils are photosensitive, especially citrus oils. Avoid exposure to the sun or after coming out of a sauna if you want to use them on the skin.
– If there is contact with the eyes, immediately add mild vegetable oil (do not use water) to clean the eye and consult. If the contact is inside the ear canal, consult.
– It is recommended to use an essential oil within a year – although some oils can be stored for years, plan to use them within a year. Citrus essential oils (citrus, mandarin orange) are more delicate and can go rancid more quickly. Plan to order small quantities and replenish as needed.

The use of essential oils for therapeutic purposes is a possible alternative in informed choice, but does not replace a medical diagnosis or treatment. It is recommended to seek the advice, diagnosis, and recommended treatment from a qualified healthcare professional before use, especially in sensitive individuals, pregnant women, children, and animals.
